I moved the bird feeders off of the deck because of the mess they make. That is except for the humming bird feeder and one of the finch feeders, because they are just so pretty to watch.
Maybe since they are little birds they won't make too much of a mess???
We get gold finches and house finches.

Hey, I am back! I had two surgeries then my computer crashed and I lost all my blog sites. I was looking back over the comments from long ago and tracked you down.
I had a good time reading about your trip to see the Amish and looking at all the birds that visit you feeders.
I am glad to see that it isn't winter all the times where you are. You really had some deep snows in the winter.
I am making applesauce from Summer Rambo Apples. The house smells of cinnamon and apples. It is a beautiful fall day here.
